The user of said information does so at his or her own risk. This document discusses the *** Reset patch available for The Complete Answering Machine. This patch will reset your system to answer in the default mailbox if a caller has accessed another mailbox and then hung up or if you picked up a call using *** once your caller accessed a mailbox other than the default. This software will also discard all messages of recorded dial tone shorter than seconds long. The file itself can be found on our Technical Support BBS at 408- 434-9703. The filename for this patch is SEVEN.EXE. Copy these files to your Disk 1 of your CAM software. If you have CAM installed on drive C in a subdirectory called CAM: Copy the file ANSWER2.EXE into your CAM subdirectory. Ex. A> COPY ANSWER2.EXE C:\CAM\ANSWER2.EXE Re-boot your system. If you have CAM installed on a drive other than C or in a subdirectory other than CAM, install as follows: If you have greetings or messages already recorded that you would like to keep, archive them BEFORE proceeding. If you have a series of mailboxes set up that you would like to save, copy the file MAILBOX.CAM into another subdirectory on your system. Perform a First Time installation, following the instructions in your CAM manual, sure to use the new version of Disk 1 for the installation. Copy MAILBOX.CAM back into your CAM subdirectory. Re-boot your computer. Restore your archived messages and/or greetings.
