This patch will allow your callers to enter 3- digit mailbox numbers without having to enter the pound (#) sign after the mailbox number. CAM will listen for 3 digits and then act on them. This patch is available on our Technical Support BBS at 408-434- 9703. The filename for the patch is 3DIGIT.EXE. To install this version if you have CAM installed on drive C:, in a subdirectory called CAM, copy ANSWER2.EXE from the floppy into your CAM subdirectory, then re-boot. If you have CAM installed somewhere other than C:\CAM, copy this file onto a backup of your original CAM diskettes and perform a first time installation. NOTE: If you have already setup mailboxes and would like to save this setup, copy the file MAILBOX.CAM from your CAM directory onto a floppy for safe keeping, then re-copy it back to your hard drive after installing. If you have greetings or messages that you would like to save, archive them using the CAM Archive function before re-installing. After installation, Restore them through the CAM menus. Implications: This is a special application version of CAM, so extensive error checking has not been implemented. It is possible to create mailbox numbers containing more than 3-digits. Your callers will not be able to access these mailboxes. To access mailboxes having 1- or 2digit numbers, enter the mailbox number and the # sign.
